The garden was created for a client loves to spend time in the garden designing, planting, relaxing and enjoying a BBQ’s when the weather is good. The immediate timber decked area addressing the kitchen / living area provided a continuation of the internal timber chevron style flooring.
Small aggregate gravel chipping then becomes the main surface throughout but is broken up by natural stone plank paving which provides direction through the garden. Encompassing the paths and informal spaces we have explored with deep green & calming colours as well as various planting textures which are offset even further by the back backdrops in the space.
The project has been shortlisted for a New London Architecture ‘Dont Move, Improve Awards 2019. The architecture was a collaboration between SAM Architects and Lunar Architects, with interior design by Brockley House and garden by GRDN.
